Payouts are requested by you from your account page and delivered as encrypted Slatepacks over Tor to your wallet listener — your address is your identity, no account needed.

What do the region colours mean?
Connect to any green or blue region — blue only means it is up and ready with no miners on it yet, not broken. A red region is temporarily unreachable, so just pick another. A pulsing grey region is still being checked and settles into its real colour within a few seconds. Every colour is measured live — we dial each region’s stratum port ourselves, so blue really does mean a miner can connect. Your rewards are identical on every region, so choose the one nearest you for the lowest stale-share rate.

P-05b Miner setup — what to type into your ASIC
Open your miner’s web panel (its IP address in a browser) → Miners → Pool Configuration (iPollo shown; other vendors are similar), then fill in the three fields below.
- Pool 1 — the endpoint from the patch bay above (updates as you pick a
region). Algorithm: Cuckatoo32 (GRIN). If your firmware rejects a bare
host:port, prefix it withstratum+tcp://. - Worker — your Grin address; it is your login, no signup. Optionally
add
.rig1to name the machine (lowercase letters/digits/-/_, max 25 chars — longer names are trimmed, never rejected). - Password — choose a strong, private password (8+ chars; never
x,xxxx,123or firmware defaults — one repeated character is rejected). This is your ownership proof for withdrawals, so treat it like a key. Use the same password on every rig under this address — any of them can then prove ownership, and a real password means you can always withdraw even if your IP changes.
Optionally point Pool 2 / Pool 3 at other green or blue regions as automatic backups, then save — accepted shares should appear within a few minutes.

P-08 Operating procedures
- PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares) — rewards follow your recent contributed work
- No account, email, or registration — your Grin address is your identity
- Payouts are requested by you (account page) and delivered over Tor or as an encrypted slatepack — nothing is sent unless you ask
- An unreachable Tor wallet is retried automatically (6h → 48h back-off); undeliverable or unclaimed payouts are returned to your balance
- Block rewards mature after 1,440 confirmations (~24h) before they are credited
- Orphaned blocks are detected automatically and their rewards reversed fairly
