P-03 Process mimic — share & payout circuit

Payouts are requested by you from your account page and delivered as encrypted Slatepacks over Tor to your wallet listener — your address is your identity, no account needed. Nostr / Goblin transport planned.

P-05b Miner setup — what to type into your ASIC

Pool Setting Miners → Pool Configuration
Select CoinGRIN
Pool 1stratum host not configured
Pool1 worker<your_grin_address>.rig1
Pool1 password<your_own_password>
  1. Open your miner’s web panel (type its IP address into a browser) and go to Miners → Pool Configuration — iPollo shown; other vendors name the menu similarly.
  2. Pool 1 — the endpoint from the patch bay above; it updates as you pick a region. If your firmware rejects a bare host:port, prefix it with stratum+tcp://. Algorithm: Cuckatoo32 (GRIN).
  3. Worker — your Grin address; it is your login, no account or registration needed. Add an optional .rig1 to name this machine (lowercase letters/digits/-/_, max 25 chars — longer names are shortened automatically, never rejected).
  4. Password — pick your own private password or random text (4+ characters; not defaults like x or 123) and use the same one on all your rigs. It doubles as your ownership proof on the account page — payouts can be verified with either it or a recent mining IP, so a real password here means you can always withdraw even if your IP changes.
  5. Optionally set Pool 2 / Pool 3 to other green or blue regions as automatic backups, then save — the miner reconnects and accepted shares should appear within a few minutes.

P-08 Operating procedures

  • PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares) — rewards follow your recent contributed work
  • No account, email, or registration — your Grin address is your identity
  • Payouts are requested by you (account page) and delivered over Tor or as an encrypted slatepack — nothing is sent unless you ask
  • An unreachable Tor wallet is retried automatically (6h → 48h back-off); undeliverable or unclaimed payouts are returned to your balance
  • Block rewards mature after 1,440 confirmations (~24h) before they are credited
  • Orphaned blocks are detected automatically and their rewards reversed fairly
