D-01 Donate a slice of your payouts for miners — no account, no extra step

Option 1 · for miners

Just name one of your workers donate<N> — where N is the percentage of your payouts (0–100) you want to give to the prize pool. The donate tag can be the whole worker name or a -/_ suffix:

Worker nameResult
grin1…address.donate10Donate 10% of your payouts
grin1…address.rig01-donate5Worker “rig01”, donate 5%
grin1…address.donate00% — turn a donation back off
grin1…address.rig01No donation (normal worker)
donate101, donate-1, donatexxIgnored — treated as a normal worker name, donates nothing

Only donate0donate100 donate. Anything out of range or mistyped is safely treated as an ordinary worker name — a typo can never donate more than you meant. The donation is applied to each payout as it's calculated.

D-04 Where the prize pool goes 100% flows back to miners

The pool fee pays for the servers. It never touches the prize pool. The two are kept completely separate — running costs come out of the fee, and the prize pool exists only to be given back to miners.

  • 💚 Where it comes from — seeded by the operator, grown by miner donations, and joined by any long-abandoned balances the pool sweeps. Nothing is ever paid out of it to the operator.
  • 🎉 Where it goes — community contests and special occasions, announced ahead of time. There is no fixed schedule: draws are held when there is something worth giving away.
  • 🎲 How winners are picked — every draw is seeded from a Grin block hash, published with the result, so anyone can check the winner was not chosen by hand.
  • 🧾 How you can check — the balance is shown at the top of this page and every GRIN in and out is listed below, by source.
